Palestine
...?
Adapted from A Japanese Perspective on the Palestinians www.bridgesforpeace.com
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE "PALESTINIAN” EMPIRE? SHOULD THE "REFUGEES" HAVE A "RIGHT OF RETURN?'" LET'S LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER AT THE FACTS!'

In light of the polarizing issue revolving around so-called plight of the Palestinians loss of their country to Israeli aggression, here are several basic questions that one should be able to answer if, in fact, Arafat's "Palestine" ever did exist.

1. When was it founded and by whom?
2. What were its borders?
3. What was its capital?
4. What were its major cities?
5. What constituted the basis of its economy?
6. What was its form of government?
7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?
8. Was a sovereign
Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
9. What was the language of the country of
Palestine?
10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of
Palestine?
11. What was the name of its currency?
12. Choose any date in history - what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, British Japanese yen, or Chinese Yuan on that date?
13. Since there is no such country today, what caused its demise, and when did it occur?
14. When exactly was it a proud nation, and what was it so proud of?
15. Here is the most important question of all: If the people (mistakenly called Palestinians) are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over - or rather thrown out of* - the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become an independent and cohesive group (a terrorist organization - the PLO) until the Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War - a war that they initiated?

ARAFAT HAS BEEN FORCED TO LEAVE FIVE COUNTRIES:

1. May 1967 (escaped) to Jordan when Israel liberated Jerusalem
2. September 1970 King Hussein kicked him out after he tried to
, destroy Jordan
3. September 1982 from
Lebanon after he created Fatah-Land, a colony for terrorists.
4. June 1983 from
Syria by Hafez el-Assad (and told "You are exiled forever from Syria!")
5. December 1983  from
Tripoli, Lebanon In every  Arab country that Arafat has  set foot, he has tried to undermine the state's authority and use terror as his political agenda. He is trying to do so again to Israel.

THE TRUTH IS that there was never an Arab country of Palestine, and Palestinian Arabs were never a nation. THE TRUTH IS that Jerusalem was never the capital of any Arab state or province. THE TRUTH IS that in all of recorded history, only one people has ever made a country called "Palestine" a sovereign nation-state with Jerusalem as its capital... the Jews.

What Arafat and the PLO Says....

"The liberation of Palestine, from an Arab viewpoint, is a national (qawmi) duty and it attempts to repel the Zionist and imperialist aggression against the Arab homeland, and aims at the elimination of Zionism in Palestine.....The partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time.... Zionism is a political movement organically associated with international imperialism and antagonistic to all action for liberation and to progressive movements in the world. It is racist and fanatic in its nature, aggressive, expansionist, and colonial in its aims, and fascist in its methods....the liberation of Palestine will destroy the Zionist and imperialist presence." From the Palestinian National Covenant - the Charter of the Palestine Liberation Organization

"...the Palestinian Arab People's armed revolution is a decisive factor in the liberation fight and in uprooting the Zionist existence, and this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated". From Fatah Website - a branch of the PLO of which Arafat is the leader

The following are all quotes from PLO leader Arafat:

"All of us are willing to be martyrs along the way, until our flag flies over Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine. Let no one think they can scare us with weapons, for we have mightier weapons — the weapon of faith, the weapon of martyrdom, the weapon of jihad." June 1995 - Parade Magazine

"By Allah I swear ... that the Palestinian people are prepared to sacrifice the last boy and the last girl so that the Palestinian flag will be flown over the walls, the churches, and the mosques of Jerusalem." September 1995 - The Jerusalem Post

"We have a date with dawn, light and Jerusalem so that one of our children will be able to raise the Palestinian flag over Jerusalem's walls," January 1, 1998 - broadcast over Palestinian radio

"We shall continue to act against the settlement onslaught to save holy Jerusalem from the Judaizing monster and the despised settlements. They [the Israelis] are determined to destroy the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aksa Mosque on the Temple Mount and to replace them by building Solomon's Temple. Israel has started the war over Jerusalem but with Arab and Islamic assistance, this shall be our faithful jihad (holy war) - to defend holy Jerusalem from the danger of Judaization and the Zionist plot." July 29, 1998 - speech to the Organization of the Islamic Conference's Jerusalem Committee in Morocco

"The Palestinian Authority has taken steps to actively struggle against the Israeli Judaization scheme. The Palestinian Authority is ready to restart the intifada in order to stop the assault on the Arab character of Jerusalem." August 1, 1998 - Algerian newspaper Sawt al- Ahrar

"We will declare our independent state on May 4, 1999 with Jerusalem as its capital, yes Jerusalem, the eternal capital of our state, whether they like it or not. Now we are on our land and we are regaining this holy land inch by inch until we set up our state in 1999." November 14, 1998 - speech in Shechem

"Yes we will establish the state on May 4, 1999 ... Our guns are raised. And we will aim them at anyone who prevents us from going to Jerusalem." November 15, 1998 - speech in Ram'Allah
